Safety Comes First!

As a true contractor, safety comes first! We use a combination of real-world knowledge and tools of technology to achieve better control over every aspect of construction. One of our principals is a licensed real estate agent and has nearly a decade of experience in new home sales. With that being said, we understand how important it is to pay attention to detail, work efficiently and work SAFELY by ensuring all OSHA requirements are met. We will always have a licensed fork lift operator on site and a safety manager to make sure that guidelines are being followed. It is each team member’s responsibility to help in the prevention of, as well as to report conditions which may cause accidents to other persons. Safety is everyone’s concern.
Velocity Construction Group is committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment. We make every effort to comply with relevant federal and state occupational health and safety laws and to develop the best feasible operations, procedures, technologies, and programs conducive to such an environment.

The MSDS sheets we use are fact sheets for chemicals which pose a physical or health
hazard in the workplace. They provide our team member’s with specific information on the
chemicals they use. The safety program coordinator is responsible for
obtaining/maintaining the MSDS sheets at our facility. The safety program coordinator will
contact the chemical manufacturer or vendor if additional research is necessary.
The material safety data sheets are kept at our facility, in the company vehicle, and on the company’s intranet. Our team members can obtain access to them by asking the safety program coordinator. Our goal is to ensure team member’s comprehension and understanding; including, awareness of hazardous chemicals, knowing how to use labels, reading MSDS sheets thoroughly, and appropriately following the protective measures that we have established.
